About the Course
Tower Tee, a 9-hole par 3 course in St. Louis County, MO, self-describes themselves as “an exciting new 9-hole par 3 golf course with the hole designs inspired by famous par 3 holes from around the world. This family-friendly layout is great for beginners as well as those looking to hone their short game and bring their scores down. The rolling hills, beautiful greens, and white sand bunkers make this par 3 a top destination for golfers in the St. Louis metro area.”
Initial Thoughts
Walking up to the complex Tower Tee built, I was impressed. They had everything a player would need to become great at golf. Grass range/mat range, two chipping greens with bunkers and collection areas for every chip shot, a massive putting green, and the 9-hole par 3 course.
Layout

The layout of the course was pretty solid for the limited piece of land it occupied. Tower Tee provided holes ranging from 50 to 150 yards, making it more of a wedge course, so bringing 3 or 4 clubs would be more than enough for this course. One special feature about this course is that there is a blind tee shot on hole 7 with a “funnel pin” green, which can provide some fireworks.

Greens
The greens at this par 3 course were unbelievably pure. Arguably the nicest I have played in the St. Louis area. They were smooth and well paced, which made the experience very enjoyable.

Tee boxes
The tee boxes followed suit with the greens. Each box had a nice mat built into the tee box with well-manicured grass surrounding the mat. Whether you wanted a nice firm fairway lie or a tee shot from a mat, Tower Tee provided that.

Bunkers
Bunkers were white sand bunkers that were placed well in spots to protect pins that made short wedge shots difficult. Condition-wise, they followed the condition of the rest of the course and were extremely nice.

Clubhouse
The clubhouse at Tower Tee followed suit with the rest of the property; it even had an outdoor bar, so you could grab a couple of drinks before playing the par 3 course or practicing.

Value
The tee time for the par 3 course was $17, which I believe is more than fair for the condition the course was in.

Pace
Pace was pretty much as expected at Tower Tee, pretty quick. My buddy and I played the par 3 in around an hour and a half with only a couple of waits.

Final Thoughts
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Tower Tee. The course conditions were the best I have seen in the St. Louis area so far, and I could spend hours at their practice facilities. Overall, Tower Tee should be your premier facility for living in the St. Louis area.
