Four Seasons Country Club is a semi-private 9 hole golf course located in Chesterfield, MO. From the member tees the course yardage capped out to 2785 yards with a rating of 33.5 and a slope of 120. The course was first opened in 1962 and claims to be “a tranquil escape in the heart of the western suburbs of the St. Louis metro area.”
Driving into the neighborhood where the Four Seasons CC was located made it tough to find the clubhouse. Also, the pro shop was found in the lower part of the building which was a bit confusing at first. However, the staff was nice and it was easy to pay, get our cart, and find the first tee.
After hitting our tee shots, it was clear to both of us this course was going to be a bit wacky. Hole 1 made a 90 degree left turn after a 210 tee shot. While this course had other weird features to it, the most annoying were the blind tee shots. Holes 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, and 9 had them which made the round a little less enjoyable having to drive up and look to make sure you wouldn’t attach a golf ball to someone’s skull.
A couple bright sides were, the bunker placements and the flow of the course. Playing the course, greenside bunkers were built in places to protect pins over various positions on the green. While the flow of the course seemed alright with some shorter par 4s and longer iron par 3s.

The greens at this course to put it nicely were sub par. They were slow, hairy, and very dead and patchy in spots. The greens however were receptive which made the experience tolerable.

While we tried to be a bit nice on the greens at this course. The fairways were in very rough conditions. Firstly, the fairways were rock solid which is nice for long drives, but the wrist took a beating from them. The fairways were also dead in multiple places and we could not differentiate the fairway from the rough throughout the majority of the course.

The bunkers at Four Seasons were average. Some holes you would have a nice bunker while others had little to no sand.

While the clubhouse really doesn’t enhance the golf experience for us, we are still going to rate it. At first, we couldn’t find it, until we found a little sign that pointed us behind a building to a backdoor which the “clubhouse” was located in. Other than it being hard to find, the “club house” it had everything you would need: golf balls, gloves, drinks, and snacks.

The pace at this place sucked. I believe the big attributing factor was because of the layout. Having to drive up and check if someone was on the same hole, was not ideal.

The total cost of the green fee and the cart at Four Seasons CC was $28. Which wasn’t terrible for what you were getting.

As you probably have already read, we didn’t like this place very much. From it being hard to find the club house, bad fairways, not great greens, etc. this was a weird way to start the Golfing Missouri journey. After averaging all the categories, Four Seasons CC score came to be a 3.6.
